SURGICAL THERAPY OF FOURNIER SYNDROME: A CASE REPORT

Fournier's Syndrome is a necrotizing fasciitis that primarily affects the perineal, perianal, and genital regions. This article presents a case report of a 53-year-old male patient who was treated with surgical debridement, antibiotic therapy, and intensive care support. A multidisciplinary approach, including the performance of a colostomy and the use of specific dressings, was crucial for the patient’s recovery. The discussion highlights the main therapeutic strategies, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and integrated management in reducing the mortality associated with this condition.
