INTERAÇÕES MEDICAMENTOSAS FRENTE AO USO DE ANTICONCEPCIONAIS ORAIS: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA

O uso de métodos contraceptivos visando a não ocorrência de uma gravidez indesejada, é uma realidade na vida de boa parte das mulheres com vida sexual ativa no Brasil. Com tal finalidade, é possível citar diversos métodos empregados por homens e mulheres, a exemplo dos preservativos, o Dispositivo Intrauterino, bem como os anticoncepcionais orais, amplamente utilizados. Um quantitativo significativo de estudos na literatura aponta que o emprego conjunto de anticoncepcionais orais e antiepiléticos ou antibióticos ou antirretrovirais, poderia levar à ocorrência de interações medicamentosas. Sendo assim, tais interações promoveriam uma redução da eficácia do anticoncepcional, levando à gestação indesejada devido à falha contraceptiva, bem como à possível ocorrência de cenários adversos por interferência. Desta forma, o presente estudo visou realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura a respeito das principais e possíveis interações medicamentosas envolvendo os anticoncepcionais orais e fármacos de outras classes, sendo estes: antibióticos; antirretrovirais; ademais, antiepiléticos.
